Labor Doula Services
Free Consultation
We can connect virtually or by phone to get to know one another a bit and see if we would be a good fit to work together. I will gladly answer your questions and offer basic information about my philosophy, my services and my experience to help you to decide if I would align well for your desires for support on your birth team.
Prenatal Appointments
I will provide you with up to two prenatal appointments prior to your birth to help to establish our relationship, as well as, to offer preparation tips and advice to help you to enter your birthing as educated and empowered as possible. We will discuss many topics including nutrition, birth plans, comfort measures, partner support, baby positioning, relaxation techniques and releasing fear. Appointments can be scheduled virtual or in-person and are offered on weekdays, either daytime or evenings hours.
24/7 Phone and Text Support
I am available by phone, text or email to offer support and answer your questions from the time you hire me until three weeks following your birth. Additionally, I have a large lending library of books that you have the opportunity to borrow for additional resources for you to use.
Continuous Labor Support
I will make myself available to join you during active labor either at home, or at any birth facility to support you and your partner. I will stay with you for the duration of your labor and birth, including initial postpartum support. My labor support includes comfort measures, relaxation prompts, verbal encouragement, position ideas, on-the-spot education, aromatherapy, massage, use of my TENS unit and rebozo and many other tools and techniques.
I will bring a passionate energy, empowering spirit and experience from supporting over 1400 families.
Photography
I will gladly document any portion of your birth experience that you would like. I offer to take photos of your labor, birth, postpartum and newborn photos. Your photos will be shared with you in a digital album.
Postpartum Support
I will provide one postpartum appointment offered on a weekday in your home within the three weeks following your birth where I will offer breastfeeding support, birth processing and general postpartum advice, tips and resources.

Benefits of Doulas
Studies and past clients tell us that the support of a doula can make all the difference . Your doula will be there to support you during your pregnancy, birth and postpartum by offering physical, educational, emotional and spiritual support to both the mom and her partner.
Evidence on Doulas
The results showed a substantial improvement in outcomes for women who had both a birth partner and a doula, compared to having a birth partner alone. The Cesarean rate for these first-time mothers was 25% in the group with a partner only, and 13.4% in the group with a partner and doula. The women who had their labor medically induced experienced an even more striking decrease in the Cesarean rate with a doula—the Cesarean rate with labor inductions was 58.8% in the group without a doula, and 12.5% in the group with a doula. Also, fewer women in the doula group required an epidural (64.7%) compared to those without a doula (76%).
